Commission Resolves 533 Cases, Recovers N3.6m In Osun – Official
The Public Complaints Commission (PCC) in Osun said on Tuesday that it has resolved a total number of 533 cases out of 771 complaints received in the state in 2016.
The commission’s Information Officer, Mr Tunji Olaoye, said in a statement in Osogbo that a sum of N 3.6 million was also recovered from respondents.
Olaoye said the amount recovered was from respondents for various complainants.
He said that the service rendered was at no cost to the complainants in line with the law establishing the PCC.
The information officer said that PCC State Commissioner, Prof. Razaq Abubakre, commended Gov. Rauf Aregbesola for providing the enabling environment for the successful operation of the commission in the year under review.
Olaoye also said that Abubakre commended the complainants, respondents, media houses and the general public for their confidence in the commission’s ability to resolve crisis.
He, however, urged the general public to continue to lodge their complaints on administrative or social injustice with the commission through personal visits, letters, and emails.
Olaoye also said that complaints could be lodged through telephone calls and text messages in all the PCC offices in the state.
