Python Dance: A Letter To The Lion King
Dear lion king, Sir, good day. I really do hope you enjoyed the warm and welcoming  euphorias your majesty received on your celebrated arrival back to the kingdom after your long break.

I’m sincerely glad you survived the evil ploys of the hyenas and jackals that didn’t wish you well just as I pray God continue to strengthen you, our revered king, for your renowned sense of responsibility and integrity.

Sir I’ve no doubt that the hyenas and jackals would have posterity to contend with. And of course, Sir, the disloyal rat and the “irresponsible elements” responsible for both literary and non-literary infestation of your throne deserve to pay for it.

But with profound respect and ‎no intention to question your authority, Sir, I’m really worried about the perilous stance of a strategically terrifying snake in my neighbours’ domain.‎ This is the basis of this message.

Sir, the snake is an unusual python let lose by the kingdom knights to address salient issue of secession being championed by our folks in the South East. Someone said that the snake has not even started and that its assignment would officially start tomorrow 15th of September and end on 14th of October.

Curiously, I know that this would do more harm to the “tattered” unity of our kingdom. Already, I could see minions of the secessionists in daring encounter with the dancing python and its associates. Also, I’ve heard echoes of pains and watched the armour carrying snake dehumanising the agitators.

This is why I’m particularly miffed by the happenings. I think the python can only intimidate, brutalise and annihilate the secessionist. But, never can it successfully tame their spirit and feelings of frustration and subjugation.

More so, even though the bigwig and paramount leader of the secessionists’ movement  is no more, his spirit lives on. Nobody if not his kind among the python’s dancing troupe ‎would have recorded the video of the python’s display of force as close as seen in the disheartening clip.‎ Therefore, further harsh actions against the agitators would bring more of such a disgusting clip to fore, thereby deepening their commitment to their secession course.

Sir, in a nutshell, I appreciate your resolution to keep the kingdom intact at all cost but honestly, preserving the unity of the kingdom by bruising and brutalising the body and mind of the aggrieved fellows would end up attracting the very opposite of the resolution and immediate objectives of the complicated dance of the Python.

While I won’t bother to suggest that the knights should take the python to the northern part of the kingdom where there is enough ground for it to dance and chill, I strongly sue for a prompt and alternative resolution of the mounting calamity and pressure on my neighbours before it degenerates further.

And, sir, please note, I am neither a fan nor a product of the secessionists’ struggle. I only believe that justice, equity and peaceful coexistence of all within the kingdom is as important as oneness of the kingdom itself. Thank you. God bless our kingdom – Nigeria.
