NYSC Offers Free Medical Treatment For Rural Dwellers In Osun

The National Youth Service Corps(NYSC) in Osun State has on Tuesday organized a free medical treatment in the state for rural dwellers and sensitise people on U- reports initiatives.

Speaking at the event,Osun State Governor, Mr Rauf Aregbesola described the free health initiative as a landmark  achievement for NYSC in discharging their Corporate Social Responsibility.

Aregbesola who was represented by the Commissioner for Empowerment and Youths Engagement, Mrs Folake Adegboyega said  government alone could not adequately cater for the health of the people without the inputs of other stakeholders.

He commended the people of Ode-omu for their massive turn-out ,  urging them to be conscious of their health and strive to stay healthy.

Speaking earlier, the Director General of the NYSC, Brigadier General Suliaman Kazaure launched the initiative  at Ode-Omu, in Ayedade local government area of the State.

The DG, who was represented by the state director of the Corps,  Mr Emmanuel Attah  stated  that the initiative was designed to cater for the health of the downtrodden.

According to him,”the health outreach is taking place simultaneously in selected rural communities across Nigeria.

The initiative also featured  principles of health report,  especially health challenges in various communities through mobile phone for government’s prompt action.
