Osun By-election: Election Process Commendable- Mudashir Husain
The All progressive Congress (APC), candidate, for the ongoing senatorial election, Senator Mudashir Hussein, has posited that the process of election has laid down by the Independent National Electoral Commission( INEC) was fantastic.
Speaking after casting his vote at around 9:30 at ward 3, Unit 1, Beulah Baptist Primary School, Ejigbo, Husain pointed out that the process had paved way for peaceful and transparent election.
He commended both the INEC and voters for their maturity displayed saying that if elections should be conducted like this it means democracy had reached advanced level.
Husain however expressed optimism that at the end of election he would emerge victorious.
Also in his remarks, the speaker of Osun State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Najeem Salaam, commended the effort of security personnel in maintaining peace in Ejigbo.
Salaam who voted at around 10:55 at ward 4 Unit 6 at Ilepeju area Ejigbo said the large turn out of electorate was impressive.
At Egbedore local government, one of the ten local governments participating in the election when visited, the situation was calm as electorate were seeing voting in a peaceful atmosphere.
However, the PDP, APC and other political parties participating in the senatorial election conducted themselves in a mature manner.
