OSBC Worker, Olatunji Idowu Suspended for Slapping Kunle Jimoh over Ramadan Committee Chairman
The presenter of popular Yoruba personality interview television programme, Kanbenko on the Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC), Mr Olatunji Idowu has been suspended by the management.
Idowu who is billed to retire in August this year was suspended for slapping the OSBC Imam, Alhaji Kunle Jimoh over who becomes the Chairman of the 2017 Ramadan Committee of the corporation.
CityMirrorNews learnt that Idowu had committed the offence over two months ago before disciplinary action was taken on him about two weeks ago.
It was learnt that Chairman of the OSBC Board of Directors, Mr Kola Akanji has a soft heart for Idowu and wanted him to be the Ramadan Committee chairman.
Akanji allegedly attempted to shield Idowu from being punished but was resisted by staff members of the corporation. Idowu was subsequently suspended for four weeks.
Despite the suspension, Idowu, according to report, was still coming to OSBC.
However, a popular OSBC reporter and newscaster, Alhaji Moshood Suleiman has been appointed as the chairman of the OSBC 2017 Ramadan Committee.
