Akeredolu Appoint Ex-lawmaker, Edema, as OSOPADEC Chairman

Ondo State Governor, Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN,  has approved the appointment of a former member of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Hon Olugbenga Edema as the Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission, OSOPADEC.

Akeredolu in a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the state governor, Mr Segun Ajiboye, also the named other members of the board.
The 8-man board has Dr. Victor Koledoye as Secretary, Mrs M. Witherspoon , Mr. Olumide Ikuepenikan, and Mr Ikoto Agabra Atili as members.
Other members are Chief Ilawole, Mr. Igbekele Akinrinwa and Surveyor Bankole Gabriel Ogbesetoro.
OSOPADEC, is an intervention agency created by an act of the Ondo State parliament to mitigate the effects of oil exploration within the Oil Producing communities in the state.
Akeredolu made the appointment just has congratulated the reinstated lecturers and staff of Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko.
The affected lecturers were reinstated by the Governing Council of the university after a review of all the cases.
The reinstatement followed the intervention of Governor Akeredolu on the issue.
The governor, however, enjoined the recalled staff to rededicate themselves to duty and cast aside all bitter recriminations and animosity against perceived adversaries.
In a similar vein, the government has assured that the outstanding cases at the Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, would soon receive government attention.
