Three suspected ritualists arrested in connection with the murder of a student of Osun State University,(Uniosun)Soonibare Timileyin have been remanded in prison custody by an Osogbo Magistrate Court.

The three suspects are; Sakariyau Abdulrofiu 19, Yusuf Kareem (18) and Ibrahim Ayuba (24).

It was gathered that Abdulrofiu and his accomplice Kareem and Ayuba unlawfully murder a male microbiology students of uniosun on June 26 at Oke Baale.

The accused had earlier confessed that they wanted to use the deceased for rituals but luck ran out on them

Police prosecutor,  Mr Abass Aruna told the court that Abdulrofiu, and two others conspired among themselves to commit felony to wit: murder

Aruna said that the suspects “did unlawfully kill one Timilehin Oluwafemi Sonibare by hitting him With a pestle on his head and
He further alleged that the three suspected rutualists and one Yahaya who is contently at large “did improperly and indecently interfere with a dead human body by cutting off the head, hands and other part of the deceased ”
The offence according to the prosecutor contravene Section 324, 319 (1) and  242 (1) (b) of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol. 11 Laws of Osun State of Nigeria 2002.

Meanwhile, the plea of the accused was not taken.

Magistrate Mrs A. O Oloyaade in her ruling, ordered the three accused persons be remanded in custody at Ilesa prison.
She, thereafter, adjourned the case till September 25, 2017 for mention.
