Hoodlum Attacks APC Ward Chairman In Ogun For Calling Meeting On YAYI Aspiration

The rivalry between the governorship aspirant of Ogun State, Senator Olamilekan Solomon and Senator Ibikunle Amosun took another dimension yesterday as hoodlum beats, brutalise APC Chairman, Abeokuta South Local Government for holding a meeting for YAYI

It was gathered that one Mr Mukaila Adebesin who is the current APC Ward 5 chairman; Abeokuta South Local Government was attacked by thugs who is believed to have been sent by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports in Ogun State, Mr Afolabi Afuape.

According to eye witness at the scene of the incident told our correspondent that Mr Mukaila offence was calling for a meeting where loads of APC De Democrats members attended in large numbers.

However, this development  according to information did not go down well on governor Ibikunle Amosun as virtually every members of APC in Ogun State are now loyal to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola  also known as YAYI.

Mr Adebesin was later attacked after the meeting around 6pm

His head was smashed, beaten and left to die by the thugs, while the swift intervention of concerned individuals around saved him from giving up to ghost during the heavily beating as he was rushed to an undisclosed hospital nearby where he is still receiving treatments up till the moment we file the report.

Mr Saheed while speaking with our correspondent says as I quote; “We are aware that governor Amosun gave the order to attack any Yayi loyalist calling for meetings within APC in Ogun State, but they should know that while our members are strong I advised to go about their political activities in a gentleman and civilized manner, no one has the monopoly of such inglorious act. We are peace loving people but not foolish.”

Mr Mukaila Adebesin is responding to treatments as at the time of filling this report.
