By Fisayo Oyeyinka
Senator Babajide Omoworare from Osun State has joined other leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to congratulate Mr Oluwarotimi Akeredolu (SAN), the Governor-elect of Ondo State.
Omoworare who is representing Osun East Senatorial District at the Senate commended the Ondo voters for the relative peace and orderliness before, during and after the election.
According to Omoworare, the Ondo electorates have, through the ballot, returned the state to the progressive fold where the state originally belongs.
Omoworare in a press statement by his Media Aide, Mr Tunde Dairo, on Monday, said: “I congratulate my brother and learned friend, Rotimi Akeredolu, on his victory at the just concluded gubernatorial poll in Ondo State.”
He enjoined Akeredolu to see his victory as a call to service of the people of Ondo state, who have indicated their quest for progressive politics, developmental change and good governance.
The Senator who is the Chairman Senate Committee on Legislative Compliance, lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission for a job well done, saying that the electoral umpire, security agencies and other stakeholders must be commended for giving their best to uplift democratic values and Nigeria’s image.
