Lunatic Gives Birth to Baby girl in Ilesa, Govt Takes Custody of Baby
A female lunatic has given birth to a baby girl by the fence of the Palace of the Owa Obokun of Ilesaland, Oba Adekunle Aromolaran, in Ilesa West Local Council Development Area of the State.
The lunatic mother gave birth to the baby 25 days ago and was taken away from her yesterday by the police.
A good Samaritan who reside at the area called the attention of the people to the development.
According to a press statement by the Director, Social Welfare, Ministry of Women, Children and Social Affairs, Mrs. Grace Adegoke, the case was reported at the police station and the ministry was notified.
The abandoned baby girl had since been in the custody of the ministry
Adekoge implored to inform the police or the ministry on necessary information for possible location and identification of the biological parents or relations of the baby.
