Veteran Principal Calls Religious Harmony to Avoid Violence

on how to avoid religious intolerance in the country and also come out of the nation’s economic recession just as Elder S.O Oyerinde,a veteran Principal
called for religious harmony
Alhaji S.O Oyerinde who spoke briefly during the occasion commended professor Sabit Ariyo Olagoke for promoting religious tolerance and harmony in the country by investing much on evangelism.
“Olagoke always speaks authoritatively from Holy Bible and Koran condemning violence in all aspects of life.He has been condemning religious conflict and crisis in some parts of the country.He should be emulated by all religious leaders because of his passion for peace in our clime “he added.
Dr.Daud Adediran who represented the Provost of Federal College of Education Special Oyo ,Professor Kamoru.O.Usman said that all hands must be on deck by jettisoning frivolous expenses in governance.
Speaking at the International Headqurters of the Mission at Wakajaye area of Ibadan, Adediran said “the way out of this imbroglio called economic recession is for nations especially African nations, to curtail their excessive spendings being displayed through mal-administration and corruption
While lauding Governor Abiola Ajimobi of Oyo state for reducing by 50 percent, salaries of political office holders,he recommended that lawmakers in both the states and National Assemblies should sit on part time basis in order to save costs.
The initiator of Olagoke Education Legacy Foundation,Professor Olagoke commended Oyo state Government for stopping obnoxious promotion in secondary schools in the state.
adding that the contribution of Dr.Dr.Depo Fakunle to education should be emulated.
Olagoke noted “this is because the former promotion policy has brought about high level of embarrassment to Oyo state-the Pace Setter,through mass failure of products of evil policy”which has now been abrogated.
He appealed to both States and Federal governments to ensure proper funding of education in tandem with UNESCO guideline.
Some schools received various books on Engineering,Arts,Social Science and Religion for their library to improve scholarship while distinguished students received gifts of various kinds.
