Osun PDP state Congress Commences at Osogbo Stadium

The state congress of the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) in Osun state has started this morning (Thursday May 12, 2016) with the accreditation of delegates by the congress committee.

The congress is taking place at the Osogbo Township Stadium, Osogbo.
CityMirrorNews observed that the delegates were orderly and peaceful in conduct, even as it was not certain if the camp of Dr Bayo Faforijin, a chairmanship candidate being supported by Senator Iyiola Omisore, were on the field.

Delegates from about 10 local governments in the state have been accredited so far.
A chairmanship candidate, Hon. Soji Adagunodo and members of his camp, including Mr Kayode Oduoye, the PDP House of Representatives candidate for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin Federal Constituency and Osun Central Senatorial candidate of the party in 2015 general elections, Oluomo Yemisi Aina were present at the congress.
Other at the congress presently are: the outgoing state PDP chairman, Alhaji Gani Olaoluwa, former Speaker of Osun state House of Assembly, Hon. Adejare Bello, Alhaji Suaib Oyedokun, among others.
