Dodoede Celebrates Birthday, Two Decades in Broadcasting, Raises Millions Of Naira For New Movie

Distinguished guests from various spheres of society converged in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Sunday to commemorate the birthday anniversary and two-decade career of ace On-Air Personality and Nollywood actor, Ismail Abolade, popularly known as Dodoede.

Dodoede was lauded for his various life-impacting programs on air.
A multitude of friends and well-wishers, speaking to reporters present at the event, hailed Dodoede as a paragon of humility and a guiding light within his generation.
Dodoede, an Ikire-born media personality, began his broadcasting career in 2005 and has since anchored various radio and television programs across the Southwest, amassing a dedicated fan base in Osun, Oyo, Ondo, Lagos, Ogun, and Ekiti states.
The event, which coincided with his birthday, also featured a N200 million fundraising for the production of his upcoming movie-cinema project, Amobi Eso.
Speaking during the three-in-one celebration in Osogbo, Abolade expressed gratitude to God for his journey so far, noting that without divine intervention, he wouldn’t be where he is today.
The ace broadcaster also used the occasion to acknowledge those who believed in him even when he was a nobody.
The celebrant urged his fans to keep praying for him, adding that his upcoming movie would be a must-watch for all households.
“I want to appreciate Almighty God for the journey so far. Without God, I wouldn’t be where I am today, as many of those we started together with, and even some who came after me, were not granted this kind of privilege.
“The journey has not been easy, but God used some people to assist me all the way. These people believed in me even when I was nothing, and today, I am appreciating them.
“I appreciate everyone present here today from all walks of life. As you honor me, God Almighty will honor you and your family wherever you are.
“My upcoming movie, Amobi Eso, the fundraising for which is also holding today, is something I want my fans to look forward to. I want to assure them that I will not disappoint them. The movie will be a must-watch for every household.”
The event featured electrifying performances from Fuji musician Alhaji Wasiu Alabi Pasuma, gospel duo Taye and Kehinde Adegbodu, and Islamic singer Alhaji Alayande Ere Asalatu.
In his remarks, the chairman of the occasion, Alhaji Aloba Abdulateef, praised the celebrant for his remarkable journey, emphasizing the significance of the fundraising effort.
Abdulateef stated that the project would create opportunities for talent development, employment, and global recognition for the creative industry.
“Tonight, we come together not only to celebrate but to make history. The goal of raising ₦200 million for this project is ambitious, yet with the goodwill and generosity of those present, I am confident we will achieve it.
“Your support, whether through partnerships, sponsorships, or direct contributions—will not only bring Amobi Eso to life but also create opportunities for talent, employment, and global recognition for our creative industry. Let us seize this moment to invest in a story that will be told for generations to come.
“Once again, congratulations on 20 years of excellence, a happy birthday to our esteemed celebrant, and may Amobi Eso become a legacy that shines beyond our time.”
