Parental Abuse: Young Drummer ‘AY Stick’ Commits Suicide In Ekiti
A famous and talent led drummer, popularly known as “AY Stick” has reportedly committed suicide in Iyin, a village in Ekiti State.
The ace musician who is in his early 20s, took his own life on Friday at his parents’ home after allegedly enduring relentless verbal abuse from his parents.
According to local reports, Ayomide, who was well-known for his drumming skills and frequently performed with various artists across the state, consumed Sniper, a highly toxic insecticide, in a desperate act of despair.
Sources revealed that he had been subjected to continuous criticism from his parents, who reportedly pressured him to lead a more productive and enterprising life.
A close family source disclosed that the heartbreaking details, saying “He drank an entire bottle of Sniper in his parents’ house yesterday evening and passed away at the teaching hospital.
He was driven to this by the harsh words from his parents, who constantly urged him to live a better life.”
New Telegraph gathered that Ayomide recently completed his secondary education.
