UNIMED Inducts 64 Physiotherapists, Emphasizes Networking

The University of Medical Sciences (UNIMED) has inducted 64 new graduates in its 4th set of Physiotherapists on Wednesday at Odosida Campus of the University.
The newly inducted physiotherapists were charged to strive to uphold professional identity and networking in the field.
Speaking at the induction, the Guest Lecturer, Prof. Abidemi Tella from Department of Physiotherapy in the University of Lagos highlighted the benefits of networking, including job opportunities, mentorships, and access to latest techniques.
“Networking opens doors to job opportunities, mentorships, and collaborations; allows you to learn about the latest techniques, research, and best practices; provides support through challenging times and helps celebrate successes, among others.” he said.
Also speaking, UNIMED’s Vice-Chancellor, Professor Adesegun Fatusi, represented by Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Prof. Roseangela Nwuba, congratulated the inductees on their achievement.
“Professional identity entails knowing how you perceive yourself and how others see you in your professional role,” she said.
