Woman attempts to sell own infant for N150,000
A woman has been arrested by police in Anambra for attempting to sell her three-month-old baby for N150,000.
Emila Sunday, 21, from Akwa Ibom was arrested in Ire village Ojoto, Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra state.
She claimed she was forced by hardship, police said.
Confirming the incident, Anambra state police command spokesman SP Haruna Mohammed, said the baby was rescued in good health , while investigation is ongoing to unravel the circumstances surrounding the matter.
