Ex-convict Jailed One Year For Stealing Block Moulding Machines In Osun

An Osun Magistrate’s court sitting in Osogbo on Wednesday convicted and sentenced a 40-year-old man, Saheed Isola to one year imprisonment for stealing block moulding machines.
Police prosecutor, ASP Fagboyinbo Abiodun told the court that the convict committed the offence on October 14, 2020 at about 5:00am at Lameco area Osogbo.
Fagboyinbo alleged that the convict unlawfully entered to one shop and stole 9inches block moulding machine valued N40,000 and 6inches block moulding machine valued N30,000.
He said the stolent block moulding machines which belonged to one Moshood Ishola were totalled N70,000.
He said the offence committed was contrary to and punishable under Section 413 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol ll Law of Osun State 2020.
The convict who had no legal representation pleaded guilty to the offence.
The Prosecutor informed the court that the convict had been convicted sometime in 2019 by Osogbo Magistrate court 7 for stealing.
Isola was said to have been sentenced to community service.
Magistrate Opeyemi Badmus after listening to the fact of the case convicted and sentenced Isola to one year imprisonment without option of fine.
