19-Year-Old Boy Jailed In Osun For Stealing

A 19-year-old teenager, Habib Amusa, was on Tuesday convicted and sentenced to sixteen month imprisonment by an Osun state Magistrate Court, sitting in Osogbo, the state capital, for stealing school property valued over one million naira.
The prosecutor, inspector Taiwo Adegoke, told the court that the accused committed the offence sometimes in September 2018 at Assodiqyah group of school, Oke Bale, Osogbo.
Adegoke, said the accused person did break into the school building of Assodiqyah and stole Physic, Ripple tank, Weight150, Bar magnet 5, Crocodile clip 1pack, Polythene rod 1, Bimetallic strip 1, Ray box2, and so many things total value over one million naira property of one Sima Adeyanju.
The prosecutor said the offence committed contravened Section 414 and 413 of the Criminal Code Cap 34 Vol 11 Law of Osun State 2003.
The accused person who is facing two count- charge of stealing and house breaking admitted guilty to the first count and pleaded not guilty to the second count- charge leveled against him.
The accused person had no legal representation when his case was called upon.
The magistrate, Mr O.T Badmus convicted on self admittance and sentenced him to six month imprisonment for first count-charge and thereby adjourned the matter till February 26, 2019 for hearing of the second count- charge.
