While commending INEC officials for coming out early enough in all the polling units in Alajue and Ede town generally , he expressed concern that people did not give serious attention to the election ,perhaps because it was an election to elect state parliamentarians and not governorship election.

At Alajue 1, ward 4, unit 20 in Ede, Prince Adekunle Faluyi maintained that the electoral officers came early enough but with no electorate to be attended to until few hours later when they started coming out one after the other but in a reluctant manner.

He confirmed to our news crew that there was no record of any violence anywhere during and after the process just as he acknowledged the good works of the security personnel who stood fully armed everywhere to maintain law and order .

He described the security arrangement by both the state and Federal Governments as very maximum .

Also speaking, Mr. Adetoro Lawal attributed the poor turn out to what people went through during the Presidential and NASS elections held three weeks ago, which, according to him were not too easy to contend with.

For flouting the directive on the restriction of movement except those on election duties, ,many motorists and motorcyclists in Alajue and Ede were caught by security personnel who made them to go through punishments in different forms.

They were not only delayed for a long time but by the security personnel but had the tyres of their vehicles deflated.

As at 12: 30 pm, this reporter also observed that there were no voters on the queue any longer at Alajue 1, ward 4 unit 10, cottage Area Ede.

Only INEC officials were seen waiting helplessly as if to be going to the houses of people one after the other to come out to cast their votees.
