A team of Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS) allegedly beat a 57-year-old grandma, Mrs Olufunmi Oke and a police prosecutor handling a case of malicious damage at Dugbe Police Division, Osogbo, Osun State known as Mr Sunday Ajayi.
The SARS policemen were said to have come from the Adeniji Adele, Lagos state to arrest one Mr Adeniyi Jones over N1.2m debt incurred in a business transaction with his partner, Mrs Kikelomo Oladipupo.
According to Mrs Oke, the policemen waylaid them outside the Osogbo High Court on Wednesday evening, hit her son in-law with gun boot several times to the point he was bleeding profusely from the ear, nose and mouth.
Mrs Oke said the policemen also descended on her and hit her with gunboot when she was pleading with them not to arrest beat his son in-law again, just as they attacked a fellow policeman, Mr Ajayi.
She said: “The SARS waylaid us outside the court premises and started beating my son in-law, they slapped him with gun and hit him with gun boot several time. He was bleeding in the nose, ear and mouth. The police prosecutor that was with us was also beating, by the SARS, not minding he is one of them.
“I was also beating and hit with gun boot on the chest; my clothe was tore when they were beating him. My son in-law is not a criminal. He is a complainant, his fish deport was vandalized by the woman he is owing N1.2m. It is the woman that brought Federal SARS from Lagos to arrest him.”
It was gathered that the policemen whisked away Mr Jones to unknown destination, throwing the family into fear until around 9pm when they contacted his wife that they were at the State Criminal Investigation Department, Ring Road Osogbo.

But Mrs Oladipupo, who resides in Lagos, could not perfect her bail conditions and she was remanded at Ilesa prison custody.
It was gathered that Mrs Oladipupo had turned down all move to settle the matter amicably at the Dugbe police station, insisting that she wanted to be arraigned in court, unknowing to the complainant that she had brought SARS from Lagos to arrest him.
Findings showed that Mr Jones was originally indebted to Mrs Oladipupo to the tune of N1.7milion and had paid N500, 000, reducing the debt to N1.2million.
When Mr Jones was not forthcoming in the repayment of the remaining money, Mrs Oladipupo reportedly came with some people to vandalize his fish deport used as collateral. The case was reported at the Dugbe police station.
Meanwhile the State Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Folashade Odoro when contacted declined comment on the matters, saying she was unauthorized to react on the case as the matter could only be reacted to by the Public Relations Officer of Federal Special Anti Robbery Squad (FSARS).
