OSBC Suspends Director for Allegedly Circulating False Information

The management of Osun State Broadcasting Corporation (OSBC) has suspended the Director of News, Television, Mr Sola Ajiboye for allegedly circulating false information about Governor Rauf Aregbesola.
CityMirrorNews learnt that Ajibole was suspected yesterday (Tuesday) after answering a query issued to him to justify his claims on the circulated message.
It was gathered that Ajiboye had circulated a message across some whatsapp groups in which Aregbesola was referred to as an Igbira man, a liar, a propagandist and a sadist.
The Acting Director General of the OSBC, Mr Wale Idowu is a member of Aregbesola’s family.
The broadcast message written by one Bashorun Adekanola Desmond also stated that Aregbesola has sacked all the directors in the state civil service.
The broadcast message reads in part: Meet My Governor, his name is Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, he is light in complexion, he is the sole administrator of Osun state, he is an Igbira by birth, his hobbies are lies, propaganda, singing and dance, he like debts, he owe civil servants 18months half salary and two full months, in total 11 months.
“He paralyzed Osun health sector, he demolished people’s properties without compensation, he wasted N10million on fireworks annually, he demolished a standard and prestigious Fakunle Comprehensive high school for motor park, he made his wife sole distributor of Osun schools uniform.
“He made his son billion at the age of 26 through Opon Imo an N8.6billion project. He sent secondary school students to Ilesa prison. He has no commissioners or state board members, he refuses to conduct local government election, he willingly stop workers promotions. He awarded one kilometer of road for over N1billion
“He has over 46 Consultants handling government activities and finances, he sack all government directors once, he has no respect for our Obas, he dumped Osun people who paid for shops and offices at Ayegbaju market, he like to siphons Osun money through the following projects e.g O’reap, O’job, O’Opon IMO, Igi Iye, e.t.c, he is an ingrate fighting those who brought him to power.”
CityMirrorNews learnt that the OSBC management received complaints from members of the public and Ajiboye was issued a query.
Ajibole’s response in the query was said to be untenable and acceptable to the OSBC management, prompting them to issue a suspension letter to him on Tuesday.
When contacted on phone, Ajiboye said the matter was “in house issue.”
