#Osun Decides ’22: Votes Buying,EFCC Operatives Storm Polling Units, Pick Up 3 In Osogbo
In July 16 Osun gubernatorial election,the Operatives of Economic Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC) has picked up three persons in connection and for alleged vote-buying.
Recall EFCC Officials arrived Osun as early as 8:30 am for the coverage of the election and to observe process of voting.
While interrogating the suspects,they introduced themselves as Jimoh Kazeem, Adeyemo Bahir and Abidogun Ismail.
The suspects were arrested by EFCC officials at Polling Unit 002, Ward 2, Ababu, Isale Osun, Oshogbo.
Also, one Nurudeen was apprehended at AUD Primary School, Isale Agbara , Osogbo by the anti-graft agency over alleged votes buying alongside the aforementioned suspects.
Narrating self in Yoruba dialect, the Suspected vote buyer said: “I was caught at Ward 8 when that people from Abuja asked for the ward leader who used to be the leader in that ward and after he got there , they asked for money to buy water and they gave him N10,000 and he gave it the people”
