Osun 2022: PRP Deputy Governor Candidate, Olowu, Harps On Education, Youth Development

The Secretary of Committee for the Defence of Human Rights, Osun State chapter, Comrade Olowu Emmanuel, has disclosed that for the nation to remain a major player in the 21st century, it must massively invest on education and youth of the country.
Comrade Emmanuel who is the running mate of Engr. Busuyi Ayowole of the Peoples Redemption Party (PRP) the coming gubernatorial election in Osun State, made the disclosure while speaking to a cross-section of some of youths on the topic: “Youth Participation in Politic” in Osogbo, the state capital of Osun.
He expresses optimism that for any nation of the world to develop at a pace that will encourage national growth and development the Government of such a nation has to invest in its youth by incorporating them into the political system of the country through a process of steady capacity building in the areas of political participation and economic Empowerment.
He emphasized that since the Fourth Republic, governance at the Local government level has been distorted by the ruling elite to loot the Local government treasury and subject local councils to Nothing but an avenue of monthly salaries disbursement, and deployment of their cronies to lead the local government without a democratic process.
“We should not forget in a jiffy, the era when the Local government invested in Business when the local government-run an independent Tax Generation system, when the local Government construct Road in their various Local government, we should not forget when the leadership of the Local government is not seen as a mannequin, we should not forget the era, when Local Government elections are held.
“If proper capacity is built in our youths the local Government is a level of government; our Youth can start from as the task at the grassroots requires the service of a set of energetic youth
He, therefore, stated that the People’s Redemption Party (PRP) is a party whose manifesto is so clear about governance and youth participation .This he said is an indication that on the emergence of our party come 16th of July 2022, we shall immediately commence the use of Nigeria Financial Intelligent Unit The Nigerian Constitution in the Administration of our Local Government Affairs
He applauded the Judgment of The Federal High Court in Abuja on the 23rd of May 2022 as it dismiss and affirms NFIU GUIDELINES which limit the cumulative amount that can be withdrawn from a local government account to not more than N500, 000 daily.
