The Chairman of Osun Chapter of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Hon. Samuel Idowu Abiodun has commended the Governor of the State, Adegboyega Oyetola on the successful completion of the iconic Olaiya Flyover.
He also lauded the Governor for his swift response to alleviate traffic hurdles, improve the infrastructural development and quest to safety, that primarily informed the construction of the bridge at the material time it was conceptualised.
The ALGON Chairman averred that with the successful completion of the bridge, the Governor has once again made what seems impossible to political tradusers and ‘Doubting Thomas’ possible.
He however commended the residents of the State for their perseverance, understanding and endurance, during the construction period.
Hon. Abiodun made these known in an interview with Journalists shortly after the opening of the bridge by the Governor of the State.
Describing Governor Oyetola as a promise keeper, Osun ALGON Chairman, said that the Governor has done tremendously well in the area of human and infrastructural development as manifested in the myriad of kilometres of roads constructed, rehabilitated and completed.
He urged residents to continue to support him, in his bid to take the State to greater heights.
He said: “there is no gainsaying that the Governor has been performing tremendously well in the area of human and infrastructural development. The people’s Governor as a matter is a promise keeper.
“We are very impressive by the way and manner the Governor has been managing the resources of the State. Despite the meager resources, Governor Oyetola strived so hard to ensure he delivers the flyover in record time.
“With the huge success recorded on this, no doubt, the Governor has indeed done what his critics thought he could not do. He has put them to shame. He has made what seems impossible to tradusers and ‘Doubting Thomas’ possible with this beautiful edifice.
“I am very sure that the residents who have been showing love for him because of the way and manner he has been managing the affairs of the state would be very excited to have this bridge opened and subsequently commissioned”, Abiodun added.
He therefore advised the residents to take precautions and comply with the traffic rules while plying the bridge, just as he urged them to continue to support the Governor in his efforts to take the state to the greater heights and vote him in the coming July 16 gubernatorial election.
