Osun APC Primary: Traditional Worshippers Go Spiritual, Intercede For Oyetola’s Second Term Bid

In preparation for 2022 governorship election in Osun,some traditional worshippers in Boripe Local Government Area of the State, Wednesday organised special spiritual prayer for the return of the incumbent Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola for second term in Office.
The prayer programme held in the ancient town of Iragbiji had in attendance all Traditionalists such as: Egungun, Ifa, Osun and Ogun worshippers, including the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Dr. Obawale Adebisi, Senior Special Assistant on Culture and Tourism, Mr Opesina Raimi and host of others.
Speaking at the prayer session purely traditional, the organizer of the prayer, Araba Ogboni Agbaiye of Iragbiji, Dr. Babatunde Abereifa acknowledged Governor Oyetola’s stunning performance in office as highly commendable, stressing that he has given the State a facelift in terms of infrastructural development such as: rejuvenating educational sector, revamping of health sector,security stability, religious tolerance, construction of roads, recruitment of teachers to mention a few among his numerous achievements.
He urged the people of Osun to give maximum support to the State helmsman beyond 2022 to continue the good work he is doing in the State,as well as encouraging Governor Oyetola not to relent in his efforts in developing Osun to an enviable height.
During the prayer session, Iya Gbogbo Sango, Iya Lase, Iya Osun and other Traditionalists prayed for Governor Oyetola to come out victorious in the forthcoming February 19 primaries, and subsequent Governorship election stated for July this year.
Furthermore, the likes of Awise Awo of Iragbiji, Chief Bowofola Oloyede, Orenike Osunbukola Aboke of Iragbiji, Ifayemi Ifaniyi also disclosed that the Governor has performed creditably well in the State.
The prayer session featured making sacrifices to gods, performance of traditional rites by the priests and priestesses, including prayer by Egungun among others.
