Moulid Nabiyy: Muslim Faithfuls Charged to Seek Encompassing Education
President of Ajagun Esin Consultative Forum (AECF), Professor Sabit Ariyo-Olagoke has charged Islamic faithful to embrace an all encompassing education as directed by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (SAW) whose birth has been celebrated globally.
Speaking on “The Holy Prophet Mohammed SAW on Education and Development” at Walmotul Quran Islamic Studies Centre, Apata Ibadan, Professor Olagoke who is also the Founder and Spiritual Head of Shafaudeen In- Islam Worldwide,Wakajaye Ibadan stressed that education develops leadership acumen.
“For Muslims,Islamic and Arabic education(theology),are fundamental for the regulation and control of our attitude in positions of power to be close to God.
“Western education, the aptitude, is equally primary as a right, because through it,there is career and skill development for power acquisition,he explained.
The Islamic preacher pointed out that celebration or glorification of the Holy Prophet with funfair is meaningless “unless we tunnel the programmes towards lending hands into his divine immortality by teaching the scripture into state of modesty and piety”
He also submitted that celebrating the birth of Prophet Mohammed SAW, would remain controversial “when we fail to tune it towards scripture compliance for mankind consideration or the interest of the pious Prophet.
The Justice of Peace challenged the Muslim parents to emulate birth, growth and teachings of Prophet Mohammed in the training of their children and wards adding that it would not only be hypocritical for those who deviated but be suicidal as well.
“Asses your children upbringing. Are they Godly based?Did it reflect the necessary divine endowment and fear of God to nature and nurture and control their attitudes? Assess yourself and work on areas of weaknesses for your life growth and profile to be scripture compliant”
The Preacher told news men at the occasion that Shafaudeen sect has consistently been praying that God touches the hearts of those in Government to come out with policies that would ameliorate the poverty in the country adding that he was optimistic that Nigeria would be better and the masses returned to better days.
