Truth Has Prevailed On Ondo Tribunal, Says Ajipe
The Convener of IBI GIGA AMBASSADORS, Chief Alex Ajipe has congratulated Ondo State Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu over the judgment of the state’s Governorship Election Petition Tribunal affirming his victory in the October poll.
Ajipe also congratulated the people of ondo state who are the beneficiaries of good governance under Akeredolu.
According to him, Akeredolu’s achievement in his first term and the trust the good people of Ondo State have in him made it possible to win the second term election.
In a statement by his Media Aide Solomon Adewoye in Akure on Tuesday, Ajipe said the judgment of the Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal affirming the governor electoral victory has further demonstrated that his election was indeed a true reflection of the wishes of the people.
“I congratulates the people’s governor on this well deserved victory at the tribunal and I must also Congratulates the good people of our state on this victory. the victory shows that we did not make mistake by voting for APC. We were right and we have chosen the future”.
“We were all living witnesses to the fact that despite the intimidation, harassment and violence unleashed on our numerous supporters and other shenanigans perpetrated by known opposition parties in the state, you emerged victorious because the people of Ondo stood by you”.
“Undaunted by all of that, you ran a clean, peaceful, issues-based campaign. You were, by far, the most popular and most qualified of the governorship candidates, hence your election. You truly deserved your victory.
“In all, One thing is certain and give us hope, the integrity and the fear of God on the governor, That at the end of the day the truth will prevail”. Ajipe said
Ajipe, however, urged the governor to be magnanimous in victory, extend his hands of fellowship to the Peoples Democratic Party and continue improve unite the people.
He also commends the tribunal for been objective and standing on the side of the truth saying the judgement proofs that judiciary in Nigeria is still the last hope of a common man.
