Ramadan: Ajipe rejoices with Muslims
Chief Alex Ajipe, the Convener of Ibi Giga Ambassadors, has congratulated Muslims in Ondo state and Nigeria in general as they commence another season of Ramadan.
Ajipe, in a goodwill message to the Muslim faithful by his Media Aide, Solomon Adewoye and made available to newsmen in Akure, the state capital on Tuesday said the Ramadan season offered the faithful a unique opportunity to draw closer to the Almighty Allah and deepen the relationship with him in total submission to his will.
He, therefore, urged the Muslim faithful to maximise the opportunities of the Holy month to purse the path of glory, progress, growth and sustainable development in the interest of the country.
Ajipe who described the month of Ramadan as a period of spiritual uplift and complete devotion to Allah, also encouraged Muslims to take advantage of the season to strengthen their commitment to the service of Allah and humanity.
According to him, what the people, leaders and followers needed to do as a nation was to come together and forge a harmonious relationship for the betterment of the country.
He posited that Nigerians must continue to preach peace and speak with one voice against the current security challenge in the country irrespective of ethnic, religion and political differences.
Ajipe said, “I urge all the Muslim faithful to use this Holy month to reflect on and commit ourselves to the themes of piety, personal discipline, compassion, good brotherliness, and selfless service to humanity.
“Let’s come together and iron out our differences and resolve with strong conviction to work together as peoples from diverse backgrounds but with a common destiny.
“I also implore you all to maximize the abundant blessings inherent in the month and draw lessons in the month, which include spirit of commitment sharing, self-restraint, obedience and love of Allah, and apply them to our fellow human beings irrespective of ethnic and religious differences.”
