NSCD Parades Three Suspects Who Specialized In the Issuance of Fake Appointment Letters in Niger State

Niger State Command of Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps NSCDC, has paraded three suspected persons who specialized in the issuance of fake appointment letters of Civil Defense to innocent members of the public.

The state commandant in Niger State, Mr Philips Ayuba while parading the suspects before journalists in Minna, said that the suspects have collected several amount of money from their victims ranging from N100,000 and N500,000.

Ayuba further disclosed that two of the suspects were arrested in Abuja hotel while the other person was arrested in Kaduna who is in charge of printing of appointment letters and other documents including stamp used in perpetuate their evil acts.

He added that they were not staff of the Nigerian Civil Defense noting that it was  a victim who they collected N150,000 and was issued a fake appointment letter was asked to come for training that was first arrested before those behind it.

Those arrested were Isah Jessy Ijafia 26 years, the mastermind, Becke Onyeoha Ogochukwu 30 years (printer) and Lucky Joseph 26years old who is the errand boy of the mastermind.

The commandant advised the general public to be conscious of their dealings with dubious people and informed security agencies appropriately any criminal suspect.

He noted that they were apprehended with appointment letter, list of 8 successful candidates for immigration, stamp and other documents hence had earlier collected N500,000 to give appointment letter of customs to a victim just as his phone contained various money alerts from Hus victims.

The prime suspect Isah Jessy Ijafia who was arrested at one of the luxury hotels in Kubwa FCT in an interview said he never knew it was going to be fake admitted to have received money for onward transfer to his client but turned out to be fake hence his arrest.

“I receive N150,000 from my friend to get him civil defense job , the money was to be transfer to the man who will assist us but it turns to be fake and they arrested me”.

Ayuba in an interactive session assured that his men will continued to protect every public utilities in the state hence were in cordite relationship with other security agencies in the state but expressed worried over the office accommodation challenges facing the command.
