The authority of the Peace Corps on Tuesday disclosed that the officer wounded by four pupils of Osun state secondary school was not their member.
A daily newspaper had reported that four pupils of Osun state secondary school in Osogbo were arrested and handed over to the police for brutalising a corps in Ife Oluwa Educational Grammar school and St Charles Grammar Osogbo on Monday.
A statement by the Commandant, Paul Ayinde noted that no peace corps member was involved in the attack saying the orientation given to their corps is to maintain peace and inculcate discipline in schools and learning environment.
“We appreciate the effort of the state government, security agencies and non-governmental organizations in resolving the conflict between the students and one and unknown corps that was brutalised, injured and hospitalised. The corps that was wounded was not our member.
