Osun NNPP Inaugurates LG Executive, To Hold State Congress December 10
Osun State Chapter of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) on Tuesday inaugurated local government executive.
This inauguration came after the party had held its ward Congress across the state.
CityMirrorNews reports that ward Congress was in preparation the state delegate conference of the party .
The executive members who were sworn into office by the acting legal adviser of the party, Oladunjoye Opeyemi were charged to embark on massive mobilisation for the ahead of the state local government election.
Addressing the local government executive committee, the State party Chairman, Dr Tosin Odeyemi charged them to begin mobilisation of youths for the party as well as encourage them to register in the forthcoming voter’s registration.
He said the party is out to provide a platform for youth to vie for election beginning with the local government election in the state.
“Apart from swearing-in of new executive officers for the local government across the state, we are also encouraging you to begin in earnest, membership mobilisation, especially among the youth.
“We are only inaugurating the Chairmen and Secretaries in line with the protocol of the coronavirus pandemic as we will be going back to the council areas for the proper inauguration of the executive committee.
“We are not only coming to redeem the oppress masses, but we are also offering a platform for the youths to Excel and break new ground politically.
“By December 10, 2020 our state Congress, where a new State Executive Committee will be elected, will hold in the state capital and we are confident, it would herald a season of victory for the party”, he said.
