2020 WAEC: Osun Education Commissioner, Oladoyin Warns Against Examination Malpractices
…..Says Oyetola will continue to deliver quality education
As students in the state of Osun joined their colleagues across the country to commence the West African School Certificate Examination (WAEC) today, Commissioner for Education, Hon. Folorunsho Oladoyin, former Osun assembly chief whip, has urged them to eschew all forms of malpractices during the exam.
This is just as the Commissioner assured students and teachers that the administration of Governor Adegboyega Oyetola will continue to strive to ensure that they don’t stand a risk of contracting the novel Coronavirus during the exams.
Hon. Bamisayemi stated this today during a monitoring exercise round some schools across the state to ensure that the WAEC exams which started today runs smoothly without any itch.
The Commissioner who monitored the examination in about 15 schools in local governments such as Ife central, Ife east, Ife south, Atakumosa west, Ilesha west and Ilesha East also commended the conduct of the students as well as their teachers during the examination.
Bamisayemi assured parents, teachers and students writing the examination that the Adegboyega Oyetola administration will continue to prioritize their health as well as ensuring that students in the state get quality education.
The former Osun Assembly member then enjoined both teachers and students to continue to adhere to all the safety guidelines as rolled out by National Center For Disease Control(NCDC) so to curb the spread of the deadly Coronavirus.
He said, “I want to assure parents, teachers and students that Governor Adegboyega Oyetola prioritizes their welfare and health just as he wants to deliver quality education.
“The present administration will not relent in it’s efforts to deliver quality education despite the challenges posed by Covid-19, that’s why we have provided protective materials for both students and teachers.
“I use this opportunity to appeal to our students to shun every form of examination malpractices, we want to continue to set the standard in education”. He stated.
Schools visited include: Grandeur School, Olode, Seventh Day Adventist School, Ile-Ife, Ife Anglican Grammar School, Ife, Methodist High School, Ilesa, Federal Government Science and Technical College, Ilesa among others.
