Buhari May Withdraw Ambassadorial List, As APC Govs Kick
President Muhammadu Buhari might withdraw the non-career ambassadorial list sent to the Senate, CityMirrorNews learnt on Monday.
Indication emerged that President Buhari has resolved to make amendment on the ambassadorial list following the complaints of the Governors of All Progressives Congress (APC) controlled states on the list.
The APC Governors who met with President Buhari on Monday expressed their disappoints on the ambassadorial appointment, saying that the nominees were chosen without adequate consultations.
According to the Governors, consultations across board would have ensured fairness, citing an example of his state where the two nominees came from the same zone.
One of the nominees from Plateau, a former deputy governor of the state, Pauline Tallen, rejected the offer citing concerns about her ailing husband and lack of consultation with the governor.
CityMirrorNews gathered that President Buhari might act on the concerns of the Governors and make necessary amendment on the ambassadorial list.
