SPAC Nation Encourages Youths On Sports, Starts Academy

A renowned Evangelical Church in the United Kingdom, SPAC Nation London, has taken a new initiative by establishing Pulse Academy to cater for the interest of youths who have passion for sports and are also in large number among the congregation in the Church.

According to the Lead Pastor of the church, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, the Academy is called the Pulse Academy and it is one of the expressions of SPAC Nation.

“What the Academy do is to recruit young footballers and showcase them to the top clubs in the world. But what makes pulse different is in case potential footballers die not makong it to the top they will be introduced to other things.”

“They are made to learn Mathematics and English language so that they can get into other career in life. We did this because we realised that the ones who don’t make it in football just go back on the street and sell drugs, other recruitments agency don’t care but Pulse created an Academy to help,” Pastor Tobi explained.

Meanwhile, the Pastor has reiterated the commitment of SPAC Nation to go ahead in her determination to better the lots of the youths in the society in the world in general and Africa in particular.

“We are just starting. We are moving forward. When we took our city, we impacted our generation. Nothing will derail us on our course to transform our generation,” he added.

Recounting when and how the crusade started, he disclosed that it was not easy in terms of challenges and eventual triumph he experienced some years ago.

The Pastor in his twitter handle said, “4 years ago changed everything. We had the biggest setback. We thought we had vision and dreams. We thought for London Church, we were doing well. Then we lost it all.”

“I gathered the few young people. We had left no building, no money, no friends. God helped us and SPAC Nation was built. We faced the toughest times and with grace and praise beyond beyond our strength. May 1, 2016 looked like the end. Negative tongues, betrayal by the people we helped.

“We failed, we stumbled, and we laughed at the end. We have experienced grace and power beyond our strength. We took our city, and we impacted our generation,” he added.

It would be recalled that last month, hundred of youths received empowerment which raised their standard of living in their immediate community in the Central London.
