Covid-19: FCMB Donates N8m To Osun Government
The management of the First City Monument Bank, FCMB has donated a sum of 8 million naira to support the Government of Osun in its effort to curtail the spread of the Covid-19 Pandemic.
The bank also presented to the state government 200 pieces of specially branded face mask to government to be used as part of Precautionary Measures to curb the spread of the dreaded Coronavirus.
Presenting the cheque and the branded masks to the State Deputy Governor Mr. Benedict ‘Gboyega Alabi on Wednesday in Osogbo the state capital, the branch manager of the Bank Mr. Olayinka Olorundare commended the effort of Governor Gboyega Oyetola in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
He said the proactive measures put in place by the state government to stop the spread of the Covid-19 is commendable hence the need for the bank to support the government fight the Covid-19 which is currently ravaging the entire world.
He said, “In line with our corporate Social Responsibility and in addition to other donations made at federal level and other social platforms, the FCMB hereby donates the sum of 8 million naira to the Osun state government to stop the spread of covid-19.
” We wish you and the entire Osun state residents all the best at this trying period and we pray that the Almighty God will put an instant stop to the spread”, Mr Olorundare stated.
The Deputy Governor State of Osun Mr Benedict Alabi who was flanked by the State Commissioner for Finance Mr Bola Oyebamiji while receiving the cheque and the branded masks on behalf of the state government thanked the management of FCMB for coming to the aid of the Government at this trying period.
