Breaking: Lagos Discharges Another Seven Coronavirus Patients
The Lagos State Government on Friday discharged another seven Coronavirus patients after they tested negative for the virus twice.
This brings to 46 the total number of Coronavirus patients who recovered so far in Lagos and discharged.
On Thursday, the State had discharged seven Coronavirus patients and with another seven today, making it 14 Coronavirus patients discharged in Lagos in two days.
The NCDC confirmed 145 cases of Coronavirus in Lagos as at Thursday, but with 46 patients discharged so far, the state now has 107 active cases to deal with, while three deaths had been recorded and two others evacuated to their countries.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olo broke the news of the discharge of seven new patients on Friday on his twitter handle.
He said those discharged included three female and four male.
“Dear Lagosians, I bring you more good news from our Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba. Today, 7 more patients; 3 females and 4 males were discharged to reconnect with the community after a full recovery and having tested negative twice consecutively for COVID-19
“This brings to 46, the number of patients successfully managed and discharged from our Yaba facility. So far, we have had 100 percent recovery from the COVID-19 cases we have admitted and managed at our isolation facilities.
“While we celebrate our successes, let us note that Social Distancing is important & non-negotiable in the war against COVID-19. Stay at home, observe good personal hygiene and adhere strictly to advice from our health experts,” he said.
