Oyetola Holds Civic Engagement In Nine Constituencies
To give citizens and residents of Osun the opportunity to interact directly with Governor Adegboyega Oyetola on governance related issues, the State government is organising a no-holds barred interactive programme tagged ‘Apero’ in the the nine federal constituencies.
The first edition of the programme which is put together by the State Ministry of Information and Civic Oritentation, will hold on Tuesday, 25 February, 2020 at Akinorun High School, Ikirun in Ifelodun Federal Constituency.
Time is 10am. Subsequent editions will take place in other federal constituencies.
The Chief Press Secretary to the governor, Ismail Omipidan who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, said the programme was conceived to enable members of the public including leaders of thought, community and religious leaders, women and youth groups, market women, workers, civil societies, students, among others to have direct interface with Governor Oyetola.
“Apero provides a veritable platform for the government and the governed to exchange ideas. Members of the public will interact with Mr Governor and ask questions about policies, programmes and projects of his administration. It is designed to promote citizen participation in governance.
“Members of the public are therefore, urged to take advantage of this opportunity by attending the interactive session, whenever it is holding in their respective local government areas,” the statement said.
