Osun APC Youths Urged To Remain United, As Senator Oriolowo Promises Massive Empowerment
Youths in the All Progressives Congress, west senatorial district were yesterday enjoined to ensure there is unity and peace in the party.
The charge was the various submission of speakers at the Youths Senatorial district meeting and end of the year prayer held at the district’s office at Iwo.
The senator representing the district, Engr Adelere Oriolowo stated that the future of the party belongs to the youths.
He added that the youth should ensure they do their best to move the party forward.
Oriolowo also urged the youths in the area to be patient with him, saying plans are at an advanced stage to empower many of them and would materialise in no distant time.
He said, “The youths must be patient with me. I do not rush things and with my experience as a former permanent secretary high planing is very important to me.
“If you don’t plan well before executing a project it may not achieve the desired results. I want the best for you all and I am taking my time to plan whatever I will be doing for you.
My wish is to empower many of you and that will put you in a better position to not only cater for your needs but empower others. You will begin to see it very soon.”
Also the commissioner for youths and sports, Engr Yemi Lawal urged the youths in the area to have a register that will capture all the youths in their various local government.
Lawal who lamented that one of the issues his ministry was facing was lack of data for youth in the state stated that the ministry has be using rough estimate.
The youths senatorial leader, Comorade Abdulmojeed (Osama) charged the youths in the district to continue to work for the progress of the party and the party remain in power.
He assured them that sooner or later youths in the district would begin to feel the impact of those elected into various positions.
