Self Devt, Educational Proficiency, Best Strategies For Career Progression- Elder Adedeji
Self development and educational proficiency have been described as the best strategies and measures for career progression in the civil service.
The Chairman Local Government Service Commission, Elder Tunde Adedeji stated this during the opening ceremony of a 3-day Improvement Workshop on Registry Procedures and Office Management for Chief Clerical Officers and Executive Officers in the Local Government Councils, held at the Commission’s Multi-Purpose Hall.
The Chairman who was represented by the Coordinating Director of the agency, Barr. ‘Lekan Babalola, disclosed that for better productivity and optimum performance at workplace, officers require self dedication and commitment to their chosen career.
He further revealed that the commission is committed to training and re-training of workers to help broaden their horizons.
In his address of welcome, the Managing Consultant;Ideal Bridgestone Ventures, Elder Rufus Olawuni stressed the need for the officers to display their competencies and professionalism through effective communication.
He further emphasized the need for the officers to adopt modern technological tools applicable to their job positions, hence accomplishing their responsibilities at the maximum level at the registry.
One hundred and sixty participants made up of chief clerical officers and executive officers drawn from all the local government areas of the state attended the workshop.
