Health: Kwara Speaker donates multi-million Naira Equipments to Isale-Asa Community
In a bid considered to complement the state government efforts on the provision of qualitative healthcare delivery services, the Speaker, Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Dr. Ali Ahmad has donated equipments worth millions of naira to Cottage Hospital, Isale-Asa for the community’s benefit and its environs.
In a release by the Special Adviser to the speaker on media, Mr Shuaib Abdulkadir, indicated that the hospital which falls within Ilorin South Constituency represented by the Speaker is equipped with necessary tools, facilities and furnished to meet the community’s yearning.
Commissioning the health facility, Ahmad said any serious government must at all times be determined to prioritise the people’s welfare vis-a-vis provision of sound health care services.
He explained that equipping the hospital was an easy decision because according to him, it provides greater opportunity to further contribute towards the development of his constituency.
The Speaker, however expressed his belief that the health facility would totally eradicate the community’s sufferings, especially regarding having access to quality health services.
Earlier in his address, the President of Isale Asa Development Association, Mr. Raji Tunde who appreciated the donor stressed that the community would forever cherish the good gesture.
Tunde however called on the state government through the Ministry of Health not to hesitate to provide adequate personnel to man the facility for the benefit of the people.
Also speaking, a political stakeholder in Ilorin South, Alhaji Saka Ayinde Kutijifu commended the Speaker and admonished other political office holders in the area to emulate his good gestures.
Kutijifu emphasised that the donor had always prioritise the people’s well-being, stating that the gesture did not come to them as a surprise due to his antecedents since venturing into politics.
