Eid el Kabir: Lasun Yussuff Calls for Patience, Perseverance
The Deputy Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Sulaimon Lasun Yussuff has appealed to Muslim faithful all over the country to reflect on the spirit of Eid El- Kabir by being their brothers’ keeper.
Yussuff who felicitated with Muslims on the occasion of Eid El- Kabir also canvassed for patience and perseverance especially in the current period of economic recession.
The Deputy Speaker urged the Muslims to emulate the practice of Prophet Mohammed( peace be upon him) by extending good hands of fellowship to friends and neighbors alike.
Speaking through his Chief Press Secretary, Mr Wole Oladimeji on Monday in a press statement, the Deputy Speaker implored all the Muslims to pray for the improvement of Nigeria’s economy and to support the administration of President Mohammed Buhari.
He, therefore, enjoined all Nigerians irrespective of tribes, religion or party affiliation to pray for peace and unity, saying ‘there can never be development without peace as we have no other place to call our home than Nigeria and by God’s grace there will be light at the end of the tunnel.”
Yussuff called on Nigerians to cooperate with the administration of President Mohammodu Buhari in his drive towards re-engineering the economy of the nation.
He also appealed for cooperation towards the fight against corruption which has put the nation back to where it is now.
