Osun AGF Rejoices With Oyetola, Says S’Court Verdict, Victory For Democracy

Members of a sociopolitical group within the ruling All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Grassroot Foundation(AGF), Osun State chapter, have joined other well wishers to felicitate with the Governor of the state, Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola on his victory at the Supreme court.
Osun AGF, in a congratulatory message signed by it Coordinator, Comrade Sikiru Tijani and Secretary, Comrade Yahaya Adeniji, a copy which was made available to our Correspondent in Osogbo, on Friday expressed gratitude to God for vindicating the Governor, APC and members of the party.
The group described the Supreme Court judgment which affirmed the election of the Governor as victory for the people of Osun.
They commended the judiciary for standing on the side of the people, saying the verdict has proved the critics wrong just as it has made the will of the people prevailed.
AGF congratulated immediate past governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, the party leaders and entire members of APC in the state for standing tall and ensure their mandate is not being tampered.
“The Supreme Court judgement delivered today on the Sept. 22, 2018 Osun state gubernatorial election is a victory for democracy.
“We commend most sincerely the judiciary for standing firm and resolute in delivering justice to the people of Osun state and thus deepening our democracy.
“We are very appreciative of the good people of Osun State for their perseverance and commitment to peace throughout the gubernatorial election dispute.
“We appeal to them to maintain peace at all times and support the state government to take the state to greater heights.”
AGF urged the governor to see the judgment as a reaffirmation of the peoples trust in him in return for good governance.
