Osun Chief Whip Praises Najeem Salaam As Ex-Speaker Becomes Olu-Omo Of Ejigboland

The Chief Whip of Osun House of Assembly, Hon Tunde Olatunji has described the installation of the former Speaker of the State House of Assembly, Dr Najeem Salam as the ‘Oluomo’ of Ejigboland as most befitting honour that could be done him by the ancient town.

Such honour according to Olatunji will spur other people, both in public office and private engagement to show commitment to the growth of their places of origin”.

Olatunji made the submission in a message to felicitate with the immediate past Speaker on his installation and the successful completion of his tenure as the head of the legislative arm of government in the 5th and 6th Assembly.

According to Olatunji, ” preference for calling the immediate Speaker as Iwaloye,among his other given names, is a testimony of his epitomising the ‘Omoluabi’ ethos which the APC administration in the state toiled hard to rejuvenate in the last 9 years “.

He said the depth of Dr.Salam’s political sagacity and the attainment of PhD; the highest level of academic pursuit while in public office further attested to his penchant for industry, commitment and perseverance, which are virtues that also guided his conduct in public office.

The Osun Assembly chief Whip also acknowledged the loyalty which the former Speaker put into service of the State while leading the Assembly for 8 years, which he maintained ensured a progressive partnership between the Executive and legislature which culminated in the massive infrastructural and developmental revolution of the Aregbesola administration.

The Assembly Whip said the legislature would from time to time tap from the vast knowledge of the former Speaker.
