Atiku Wins Plateau State

The Peoples Democratic Party’s, PDP, candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the last Saturday’s presidential election has defeated his main challenger, President Muhammad Buhari of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Plateau state.
According to the state collation officer, Professor Anande Richard Kimbar, the Vice Chancellor, University of Agriculture, Makurdi, Benue state, Atiku scored 548, 665 votes against Buhari’s 468, 555 votes with a difference of 80, 110 votes.
The former vice president won 11 local government areas while Buhari defeated Atiku in 6 LGA’s.
Buhari lost to former President Goodluck Jonathan in the same state in 2015 presidential election with over 120, 000 votes.
