2019 Election: PDP Candidate Distributes 5 Cubes of Maggi During Campaign

The major opposition People’s Democratic Party, PDP, today, Thursday during its campaign shared five (5) cubes of the popular maggi star to members and supporters in Jenta area of Jos, Plateau state capital.

The maggi was shared during a Northern Senatorial Zonal campaign rally. Architect I.D. Gyang who is the PDP Northern Senatorial candidate led the rally with supports from PDP candidates to the House of Representatives and Plateau State House of Assembly.

Jenta is a densely populated residential area in Jos North Local Government Area with a total of 24 Polling Units.

CityMirrorNews state correspondent spoke with some of the utterly disappointed supporters who expressed their anger and frustration at the candidate noting that the candidate has kept them waiting since morning until his arrival around 7 pm in the night, “only to give us 5 cubes of maggi star”.

Another supporter said, ” Thank God I didn’t wait for them. Is this how I would have wasted my precious time because of 5 cubes of maggi star?”. 5 cubes of maggi star in the area costs only 25 naira.

Jenta, though in the city centre, lacks basic amenities including water, electricity, road and only Police Post in the area was recently closed down.
