Nigerian  Voters Should Investigate Antecedents Of Candidates

Voters for the 2019 general elections have been advised to investigate the antecedents of candidates they would cast their votes for in order to checkmate the perpetuation of cheats in governance who have made politics a platform to loot the nation’s treasury.

Mr Abayomi Fagbenro, a candidate contesting for the House of Representatives for Ibadan South West and North West in Oyo State on the platform of Young Democratic Party (YDP,) gave the advice in Ibadan on Tuesday during a press chat at the Correspondent Chapel of Nigerian Union of Journalists.

Fagbenro who wanted to be elected into the lower house alleged that most of the people in the house  are not after the interest of the masses in the country because of their unpatriotic activities.

The candidate who was optimistic about his victory  decried a situation whereby the same old people with bad pedigree go to  lawmaking only to feather their own nest ignoring the interest of the masses who voted them into office.

The candidate on the platform of Young Democratic Party disclosed that he did not have the backing of any god father to realise his ambition adding that he was sure the youths who understood his worth would vote for him next year even without any financial inducement

Fagbenro decried a situation whereby the old politicians go into lawmaking to discuss personal monetary affairs in NASS at the expense of the masses and the nation.

The candidate who pleaded for assistance of the youths and the media stating without their understanding his dream would be unattainable.

Fagbenro called on Nigerians to come together and tell the money bag politicians that “enough is enough.They should leave the stage and allow the youths with creative and patriotic ideas to move the nation forward”

The candidate who came to the Correspondent Chapel of the Nigeria  Union of Journalists (NUJ) with two men said that he did not believe in the life styles of Nigerian politicians who go about with scores of supporters and political thugs pointing out that security belongs to God.

He disclosed that he has made his supporters to realise that he has no resources to bribe would be voters because to do that was to promote corruption.
