Man, 28, Docked For Allegedly Stealing Plasma TV in Osun

A 28-year-old man, Saheed Opeyemi has been dragged before a Magistrate Court sitting in Osogbo, the Osun state capital for allegedly stealing one 32 inches plasma television.
Opeyemi was said to have committed the offence on October 24, 2018 at about 2pm at Agunbelewo area ,Osogbo.
Police Prosecutor, Inspector Jafani Muslim had told the court that Opeyemi allegedly stole the plasma TV valued at N35,000, property of one Babalola Femi.
Muslim further explained that the suspect broke into the house of Femi and carted away the valuable
The offence according to the prosecutor was contrary to and punishable under Section 411(2), 412 and 390(9) of Criminal Code 34 Vol. II Law of Osun state of Nigeria, 2003.
But the accused person pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of stealing and burglary levelled against him.
Defence Counsel, A.O Emmanuel applied for the bail of the accused in the most liberal term.
Emmanuel who assured the court that the suspect would not jump bail if granted also promised that reliable sureties would stand for the accused.
Ruling on the matter, Magistrate A.O Oloyade granted the accused bail in the sum of N50,000 with two sureties in the like sum.
Oloyade ordered that one of the surety must be a civil servant just as she directed the sureties to provide three clear passport photographs and three years tax clearance to the court and they must be residents within the court jurisdiction.
She however directed the police in charge of the case to verify the addresses of the sureties.
The case was later adjourned till December 6, 2018 for hearing.
