Irepodun LCDA Chairman, Oloyede Congratulates Osun Governor-elect, Oyetola, Describes Victory As A Well Deserved

The Executive Chairman of Irepodun South Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Erin-Osun, Osun state, Honourable Adekunle Oloyede JK on Sunday congratulated the Governor-elect of Osun ,Alhaji Gboyega Oyetola, for winning the keenly contested governorship election in the state.

Oloyede in a congratulatory message he personally signed and made available to newsmen in Osogbo , said it was a well deserved victory.

The LCDA boss said that the people of the state had made a choice to vote for continuity and experience which oyetola represents.

He said with the emergence of Oyetola,people of Osun would continue to enjoy devidend of democracy and good governance in the state.

He further explained that the APC victory was a confirmation that the people still have confidence in the programme and policies of the party not only in Osun but also across the country.

He noted that despite the inconclusive election on September 22, voters defied the heavy downpour to come out en masse to exercise their franchise during the supplementary election.

He advised the governor-elect to operate an all inclusive government and to hit the ground running as soon as he was sworn in.

Oloyede thanked Osun electorate for their patience and orderliness before, during and after the election and for voting their choice candidate, saying that they were the heroes of the moment.

He further thanked the electorate for their vote and urged them to continue to support the APC-led government at all levels and to vote President Muhammadu Buhari in 2019.

He maintained that the APC remained the best party for Nigerians.

According to Oloyede , “Adegboyega’s victory at the keenly contested election was well deserved. The people of the state had made their choice by voting for continuity and experience which Oyetola represents”

Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was declared as winner by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) at the end of Thursday’s supplementary election in seven wards.

He polled a total of 255,505 votes to defeat his closest rival and candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Ademola Adeleke, who polled 255,023 votes.
