Ile-Ife Will Be Cultural Tourism Hub – ADP Candidate, Adeoti

The Action Democratic Party (ADP) governorship candidate for the coming gubernatorial election in Osun, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti, has pledged to make the ancient city of ife a tourism headquarter of the south west region.

Adeoti made the pledge at the mega rally of the party held in Ile-Ife on Saturday.

He said tourism, if properly harnessed, has the capacity to create over 200,000 decent jobs for residents and indigenes of the state.

ADP standard bearer condemned the recent fire brigade approach to recruitment into the OYES describing it as a polical deceit by the ruling party and called on all applicants not to be deceived and should vote for ADP.

According to him, I understand your pains and that of the retired and serving civil servants and promise to ensure that every stakeholder in the Osun project get adequate attention.

Adeoti added that the I’ve township roads will be given adequate attention in line with his vision to make the town a tourism hub in the region and also pledged to rehabilitate the Modakeke township roads, as well as the Sekona-Edunabon-Moro to Ife road for easy access.

He added that all the higher institutions in Ifeland would received soft help as they are revenue generating organizations for the government and would ensure cordial relationship with them all.

The Iwo born politician promised to ensure justice, fairness and equity in the running of the affairs of
the state for goodness.

He said ‘it is injustice and lack of
fairplay that was responsible for the defection of the greater percentage of the members of the party. It is the turn of the west and Iwo town in particular.

He added that “if the present administration in the state is sincere
about justice and equity, why is it now that the of Iwo accosted them
when they went to launch tradermonie for the poor and election is near
that they realized that they have to do something on Iwo roads?”

Promising to ensure prompt payment of civil servants salaries and pension to retirees who have all the useful time of their lives to serve the state and the nation meritoriously, he said that a sound and logical financial re-engineering would be deployed in conjunction with the expertise of his team members to salvage the chronic situation that the state found itself.

He also promised to engage the youths with gainful employment, just he
promised to encourage vocational educational and sporting activities
at the grassroot levels so that sport stars would be produced as it
has been the situation in Brazil, England, etc. in the state by his
administration.

He also vowed to give priority attention to farming and encourage
farmers to realize their goals of sufficient food production as well
as large scale mechanized/plantation agriculture for export to boost
the revenue profile of the state.

Adeoti assured the residents of Awolowo town that has been cut-off from electricity in the last five years to restore their light and make them enjoy electricity light like other citizens

He flaunted his experience as the past Chairman of Iwo Local Government where he had touched the lives of the citizenry to replicate at the State level if voted for as the next Governor of the State.

Earlier, his Deputy, Prof. Adeolu Durotoye implored the youths, women
and patriotic indigenes of Osun not to vote for those he referred to as alien politician that are boasting that they are richer than the
State.

He frowned at the level of injustice and lack of transparent fairplay that has continued to dogged the present administration in the state.

He therefore called on the electorates to use their Permanent Voters Cards (PVC) to stop this as well as capital flight from Osun State to
Lagos State which has continued to impoverish the people of Osun
State.

Other prominent speakers at the rally include the football administrator veteran, Chief Adegboye Onigbinde, Hon. Sola Lawal, Barr. Gbenga Awosode, Dr. Wale Bolorunduro, Prince Olakunle Aderemi, Oluomo Sunday Akere, among others. All of them implored the
electorate not to be deceived but use their PVC to effect the needed
change in Osun politics
