No Crisis in PDP, we Only Have Conflict of Interest-Osun PDP Chairman
By Lukman Lawal
The chairman, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP),Osun State chapter, Hon. Soji Adagunodo has said that there was no crisis in the party.
Adagunodo said what looks like crisis to the people was just conflict of interest among members of the PDP, saying that since politics is about interest, such disagreements are part of the game.
The Osun PDP chairman stated this on Tuesday in an interview with CityMirrorNews.
Calling on the national leadership of the PDP to intensify work on its move to reconcile the aggrieved members of the party, Adagunodo maintained that the party would come out stronger after settling the differences among its members.
The chairman assured PDP faithfuls in the state that the mandate freely given to him and other elected members of the party executives was not in anyway threatened by the development at the national Secretariat.
Adagunodo argued that since members of the Osun PDP state executives emerged through a credible congress conducted by the National Secretariat of the party and supervised by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), their mandate remained intact and valid.
He, however, called on aggrieved members of the party to sheath their sword and allow peace to reign, saying that the party could only succeed and develop when it’s members unite to form a formidable opposition.
Adagunodo said: “The sufferings in the land-Nigeria is enormous and since the APC has shown they lack capacity for governance,it is our responsibility to brace up for the challenges ahead and ensure that we rescue the people from the untold hardship. “
